- This is a one of a kind trip. If you are passionate about downhill mountain biking and want to experience Colorado’s mountain forest at exhilarating speeds look no further. Your driver will pick you up at the trail head in the Denver/Boulder/Golden area. There you will review the trail options and get set up with the bikes and other important gear. After your first run you will be hooked and ready for more great trails. At the days end you will be ready for a cold one and you can meet your guide at a local micro brewery if you would like.
These day trips will leave you feeling alive and vivacious and are for advanced riders.
Mountain biking is a cardiovascular activity although this is a downhill trip.
Wear layers so that you can shed them if you are hot and bundle up if you are cold. Bringing rain gear, a small backpack, and any required medications is necessary. If you have clip-in shoes feel free to bring them but also bring your pedals because some pedal/shoe combos are not compatible. If you do not have bike shoes regular tennis shoes work just fine.
Gratuity: The outdoor industry depends on gratuity to ensure quality in the field. Your guide goes to incredible lengths to keep you safe on Longs Peak. A tip of ten to twenty dollars per person per day is recommended for excellent service.
Cancellation Policy: There is a 50% refund available for trips canceled more than 2 weeks in advanced. All trips are non-refundable within 2 weeks of the trip date. In the case of inclement weather prior to the trip start you will be credited the amount paid for future use with Apex Ex valid for up to 1 year from the scheduled trip date.
Responsibility: In the case that a member of the party becomes sick or injured it is the responsibility of the group to abandon the ride and assist in rescue. Additionally, if for any reason the guide determines the group is in unreasonable danger, it is the responsibility of the bikers to stay with the guide. These situations are part of outdoor recreation and are non-refundable.
