After choosing a date, you’ll meet your guide at the trail head where you will be outfitted with snow shoes, trekking poles and an introduction to the activity. Hike as a group through the winter wonderland of Rocky Mountain National Park to a serene location for hot Cheese Fondue and Cider. The solitude and beauty of the Rockies in winter have to be experienced first hand to fully appreciate what we have in our backyard. If you enjoy hiking in the summer, you will enjoy this activity. You will enjoy this activity more if you are accustomed to moderate physical activities.
Wear layers for your winter adventure, using synthetic long underwear as a base layer. Bring insulating layers and water resistant/waterproof jacket and pants. A warm hat, warm gloves, sunglasses and/or goggles are all important pieces of clothing to bring. Bringing extra layers is always a good idea. Check the weather forecast for the meeting location prior to your trip for current conditions and dress accordingly.
Gratuity: The outdoor industry depends on gratuity to ensure quality in the field. Your guide goes to incredible lengths to keep you safe and happy. A tip of 20% per person per day is recommended for excellent service on this trip.
Cancellation Policy: There is a 50% refund available for trips canceled more than 2 weeks in advanced. All trips are non-refundable within 2 weeks of the trip date. In the case of inclement weather prior to the trip start you will be credited the amount paid for future use with Apex Ex valid for up to 1 year from the scheduled trip date.
Responsibility: In the case that a member of the party becomes sick or injured it is the responsibility of the group to abandon the day’s activities. Additionally, if for any reason the guide determines the group is in unreasonable danger, it is the responsibility of the members to follow directions and move to safety without question. These situations, including temperature and weather fluctuations, are part of spending time outdoors and are non-refundable.
