It is great to see the Boulder Mountainbike Alliance staying strong.
This great gathering of positive and up beat supporters advocating for more trail access was a true testimony to local democracy. As all sides had a chance to be heard it was clear that Boulder has a special community that cares deeply for one another and the natural environment. While an entire city will never see eye to eye on every issue; it was great to have the chance to learn about the environmental and social implications of our actions here on earth.
Currently there are a few link trails proposed by the rangers that will require a variety of land managers to coordinate efforts. We look forward to those link ups. The proposals are for a connection from Eldorado Canyon to Walker Ranch and another to connect over Flagstaff in to Boulder Canyon and eventually up to the link to access Betasso.
All of us supporting BMA would also like to see some trails helping connect to more southerly rides as well. There are lots of great options in the area to open up for mountain biking. Remember if you are riding to please stay off wet trails and to respect all other visitors right of way. See you out there 🙂
Support the Boulder Mountain Bike Alliance and be part of local democracy for your opportunity to ride!
